Every great Canadian knows, eh!, when the local park puts on a special event or festival, regardless if it is called ‘Boo-Bear Dress Up Event’, Sea Gull Aqua Watchers Day, Hawk & Raven Happy Day, Tiny The Happy Turtle Day, Muff Muff Marty and the Clowns, or Super Silly Saturday At The Park…you can always count on the lifting of the great Canadian spirit, you know what I mean, eh?. And we never allow ourselves that feeling of obligation or responsibility to ‘show up’ but perform a great Canadian ritual of putting on a brave face (because you ARE with your kids, eh?!) and dress the part and actually show the world, including your spouse, kids and your estranged neighbors, you actually like it all, eh?

When affluence sets in to the average great Canadian they vow to never feel a rain drop again, never have to start another camp fire, never set up a crappy tent, never share a dirty washroom, never to eat a burnt or raw cold meal again, never, never…you get the picture…

Rain is another master of great trepidation to the great Canadian camping spirit. You watch the weather channel endlessly every day for a week prior to the joyful day of departure noting there is a large high pressure ridge blanketing the entire country. When the day arrives for departure to your ‘special place’ you note a small ridge of clouds appearing low on the horizon.
