The Heart of the Matter- The Power and Potency of a Decision, One Decision
![]()
Beth Wheeler, a 36 year old women from the UK, weighed 308 lbs when she got engaged. In planning for her marriage one year later, she ordered a size 12 wedding dress, which was 18 sizes smaller than her usual clothes purchases, knowing the only way she would fit into it was to commit to a health regime/weight loss program to lose 140 lbs before the special day. Her future husband James Wheeler’s proposal was the catalyst that motivated Beth to join a local Weight Watchers group. She made the decision to fit into that dress. Her new daily journey of healthy eating and living reshaped her body size. How did it work out? Four days before the wedding she reached her goal. She wore the special dress on her wedding day! She stated that having something to aim for kept her focused. She was not a fan of gyms and exercising but altering her food and lifestyle achieved her desired result.
Is there something you want to achieve? Do you have a strong goal or catalyst to achieve a desired result? Maybe for some it is just as simple as the decision to do it. For others it may be a goal motivator that activates the brain to the follow through to achievement. Do you have something you would like to achieve? Do you have single-minded focus to follow through to the desired result? Or do you a need a catalyst to drive you and place your thoughts in the correct thinking? Whatever it is does not matter. The heart of the matter is whatever it takes to ignite that inside spark to light the flames of purpose into the power and potency of a decision. What do you think on this matter?
